Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions, Answered
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
At the beginning of the session, you will be filling in a health questionnaire which will help guide your treatment. Making a list of all of the medication you are taking or the current treatment you are receiving will help. Reiki is non-evasive and you will not need to remove any item of clothing other than your shoes, so relax and enjoy
What should I expect from my first session?
Sessions can be arranged in the comfort of your home where you will feel more at ease. Because the treatment works on an energy level, you might not feel anything while others might experience feelings like:
Hot or cold sensations, light headedness, pins and needles, strong emotional release, or you might fall asleep.
If you do not feel anything, it doesn't mean that it didn't work on you. All you need to do is be open to the energy and believe that it is helping you.
Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?
Reiki is gentle and works on a cellular level. It can be used in conjunction with any other treatment or medication. Check in with your doctor after treatment to ensure you still need the same dosage of your medicine. Reiki should never replace current treatment.

In the case of the terminally ill, Reiki can help alleviate side effects of medication and can assist in the treatment of pain and discomfort. It should never be viewed as a miracle cure.
